Week 4

Good afternoon parents and welcome to  Week 4 !  First of all, a huge congratulations to all candidates and prayer buddies that attended last weeks Reconciliation.  I was so very proud of how reverent and engaged everybody was....Well Done!  This week we are working on Haiku poems and Predicting in literacy.  In Maths, we have moved back to money to refocus and ensure that we are working out change appropriately.  In science we are examining living things and in D&T, we are exploring the properties of materials as we move from catapults to push and pull forces. HOMEWORK Reading  - If you can please make sure that your child is  reading out loud  to you each night.  Spelling  - Students are to complete a LCWC of their list words for the week. Sight Words  - If you can please work with your child to complete these every night. Mental Maths  - Students are to complete  Days 1-4 of Unit 32.  This is marked daily in class each morning. Week 3

Good afternoon parents and welcome to  Week 3 !  Our Reconciliation celebration is on Wednesday night beginning at 6pm at Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church. Please see below for some important information. RECONCILIATION REMINDERS - WEDNESDAY 24TH OCTOBER 6PM  Arrival Time & Dress  - Please be at the Church by 5.45pm.  Your child is to be dressed in smart casual clothing. Upon arrival they will show you to your seat. Please be mindful that some of the pews are quite small so it will be for immediate family only (parents/siblings). There will be room in the choir loft for additional family members. Prayer Buddies  - All prayer buddies are expected to attend...please let me know via email if you are unable to attend. Rehearsals  - We will be walking down to the Church on Tuesday afternoon from 1.30 - 2.45pm and then again on Wednesday 11.30- 1.30pm - please make sure your child brings a packed lunch for Wednesday as we will eat down at the church. Good afternoon parents and welcome to week 2! REMINDERS Summer Uniform  - Please take advantage of the next couple of weeks to get your child in the correct uniform. See the link  for our updated  OLC School Uniform Policy . If I can also ask you to think about your son or daughter's hair style as well. It is particularly relevant for fringes. Sacrament of Reconciliation  - Is on Wednesday 24th October beginning at 6pm at Our Lady of the Southern Cross. All students are expected to attend, even if your child is not receiving the sacrament it is important that they attend to support their classmates. Please make sure that you have returned the necessary paperwork and the $12 by this Friday please. Sr. Christine who conducted PD at school on Monday shared a very helpful video which looks at how the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Penance) is given.
