Week 3

Good afternoon and welcome to Week 3. Congratulations to those Reconciliation candidates and Prayer Buddies that came along to our family mass and Reconciliation Enrollment Service on Saturday night.  Thanks for the great feedback and well done to kids on their commitment and behaviour afterwards. Our Learning This week we will be working on writing persuasive paragraphs. We have been learning about modality and will use this to be more persuasive in our writing. In Maths, we are working on place value and how we can flexibly use this to help answer questions.  Your child should have brought home their model that shows the way the earth and moon move in the sky. Homework Children have glued their spelling and reading logs into their homework books.  Please support your child to complete their 10 minutes reading per night and their spelling words. Students also have their mental maths  book in which to complete Unit 3 this week.   If your child is struggling with their homework due

Week 2

Good afternoon and welcome to Week 2. Hopefully everyone was able to enjoy the sun over the weekend. Homework Children have glued their spelling and reading logs into their homework books.  Please support your child to complete their 10 minutes reading per night and their spelling words. Students also have their mental maths  book in which to complete Unit 2 this week.   If your child is struggling with their homework due to understanding, please let me know.   Reminders Reconciliation Workshop  - This will be held on Wednesday  13th February  beginning at  5:30pm . This workshop includes activities that involve you and your child working together on a number of small activities.  Attendance at this meeting is compulsory for those students that are receiving this Sacrament. If you and your child are unable to attend, you will need to make an appointment with Fr Ian to go through the program.  If your child is not receiving the Sacrament, you and your child are more than welcom

Reconciliation Workshop and Commitment Mass

Good afternoon parents. This year, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be undertaken in Term 1.  Your children have commenced learning about and preparation for this Sacrament.  The majority of the preparation occurs within school time, although there are two sessions that are required to be attended prior to the Sacrament. Reconciliation Workshop  - This will be held on Wednesday 13th February  beginning at 5:30pm . This workshop includes activities that involve you and your child working together on a number of small activities.  Attendance at this meeting is compulsory for those students that are receiving this Sacrament. Welcome to 3Mc

Welcome to the 2019 school year, and especially welcome to Year 3Mc.  H opefully you have a wonderful and refreshing school holidays!  This blog will be used as one of the many forms of communication this year, so please check regularly. Homework Children have set up their homework scrapbooks which will come home today.  This week homework consists of a reading log and their mental maths homework book Unit 1.  Students should read for at least 10 minutes per night and spend 10 minutes per night on their mental maths.  Please complete the reading log in their scrapbooks to record their reading.  If your child is struggling with their homework due to understanding,  please let me know .   Swimming lessons  - Lessons will be during week 7.  I will send further information closer to the date.  Sport uniform - Our sport days are Wednesday and Friday.  Wednesday your child should wear the teal sport uniform and Friday is Faction T-shirt day.  We will be sharing sport with the other Y
