Term 2 Week 3

Good morning parents and welcome to week 3. This week we are reviewing persuasive and narrative structure and language and working on telling time.  In science we are looking at heat movement.

Here are a few reminders:

Homework 

Homework will continue this week with spelling ('ai' in snail sound), mental maths (fact families), the homework grid and reading. Please remember to sign your child's homework book and encourage them to hand in their homework on Friday. 

Reconciliation Commitment Mass 

Just a reminder for those students who are receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation that our commitment mass is this Saturday (8th May 2021) at 6pm at Our Lady of the Southern Cross.  Please ensure that you attend otherwise you will need arrange a later date with Father Francis. 

NAPLAN

NAPLAN will commence next week and run for the next 2 weeks (2 tests in week 4 and 2 in week 5). As outlined previously, we take a very low key approach to NAPLAN.  Please refer to the hand out that was sent home yesterday in regards to any information.  Both Mr T and myself are available should you need any further information. 

Meals after wheels

Next Tuesday (11 May) at lunchtime students can bring their rollerskates or scooters to ride around. Please stack these behind Mr Lee's office in the morning if you will be joining us.

A Big Happy Mothers Day to all our beautiful mums for this Sunday! Hopefully you are spoiled with lots of love and affection, and maybe a gift or two, as you deserve to be!

 Hello 3Mc parents and welcome to week 5! I can’t believe we are nearly half way through the term! I hope that you all had a great weekend.  Stop Motion In art this term we are learning about and creating stop motion movies.  Students have created story boards outlining what they intend filming and as such know what characters they will need.  Please support your child to remember the characters they will need to commence filming this Wednesday. Week 3

Good afternoon parents and welcome to  Week 3 !  Our Reconciliation celebration is on Wednesday night beginning at 6pm at Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church. Please see below for some important information. RECONCILIATION REMINDERS - WEDNESDAY 24TH OCTOBER 6PM  Arrival Time & Dress  - Please be at the Church by 5.45pm.  Your child is to be dressed in smart casual clothing. Upon arrival they will show you to your seat. Please be mindful that some of the pews are quite small so it will be for immediate family only (parents/siblings). There will be room in the choir loft for additional family members. Prayer Buddies  - All prayer buddies are expected to attend...please let me know via email if you are unable to attend. Rehearsals  - We will be walking down to the Church on Tuesday afternoon from 1.30 - 2.45pm and then again on Wednesday 11.30- 1.30pm - please make sure your child brings a packed lunch for Wednesday as we will eat down at the church. Week 9

Good afternoon parents, I cannot believe that we are in the last week of Year Three for 2018... the whole year has  gone very fast and we have watched your children grow into beautiful, mature, capable and motivated students! Ihave loved working with them and have been an absolute pleasure to teach! REMINDERS - WEEK 9 Vinny's Donations -  Our tub is located in the wet area. If you can please make any small donation of toiletry items it will go a long way to helping make someone's Christmas very special. These hampers will be put together and handed over at assembly on Friday morning. Books To Go Home -  We ask the each child bring a green bag or plastic bag to school this week so they can take home their books from the year.  Christmas Concert -  On Wednesday at 5.30pm, the entire school will be getting together to celebrate the Year 6 Graduation, the Christmas concert performed by the Year 5's and each year group will be presenting the 2018 Making Jesus Real CAR
