Week 6 Term 3

Good Afternoon and welcome to week 6!! Can you believe that we are already in week 6? This term is certainly flying! This week we are practicing our formal algorithms for multiplication before we move onto division.  In English we are reading and writing informative paragraphs.  Our keeping safe health program is in full swing as we are focused on private and what to do if we are feeling uncomfortable.  In science we are exploring how the size of things may change the rate at which they change state. Homework Homework this week includes the homework grid, reading, mental maths and a spelling list with the focus sound that we are learning. Should your child require a new reader, please support them to remember to bring it in to be swapped. Reminders Before school Drop Off At this point, we have been directed that restrictions of adults in the class will continue until instructed otherwise so Kiss and Drop will still remain. Week 4

 Good morning and welcome to week 4!! Thank you to all who were able to attend our Reconciliation Workshop last week. It is a very important and engaging way to begin our preparation for the sacrament. This week we are moving to specific multiplication strategies in maths and beginning our Information Report unit of work in English. Homework Homework this week includes the homework grid, reading, mental maths and a spelling list with the focus sound that we are learning.  Reminders Before school Drop Off At this point, we have been directed that restrictions of adults in the class will continue until instructed otherwise so Kiss and Drop will still remain. As school begins at 8.40 am, if your child arrives after this time, you will have to sign them in at the office. Week 3

Good afternoon and welcome to week 3.  It was great to see Mr Lee dropping in late last week for a few hours, the kids were very excited. Congratulations to all those students who were selected to represent the school at the interschool cross country carnival last Thursday. Mr T was super impressed with the attitude and effort of all the students who attended. Thank you to all who were able to attend our commitment mass last Friday.  Mrs Meyer and I were so impressed with how the children conducted themse lves in Mass!   Reconciliation Workshop  - Tomorrow afternoon is our workshop for those students who will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation this year.  The workshop will begin at  5:30pm  in the  Hall and  includes activities that involve you and your child working together on a number of small activities.  Attendance at this meeting is compulsory for those students that are receiving this Sacrament. Reconciliation Commitment Mass and Workshop

Good afternoon parents. This term we are undertaking the Sacrament of Reconciliation and your children have commenced learning about and preparation for this Sacrament.  The majority of the preparation occurs within school time, although there are two sessions that are required to be attended prior to the Sacrament. Reconciliation Workshop  - This will be held on Tuesday  4th August  beginning at  5:30pm in the Hall . This workshop includes activities that involve you and your child working together on a number of small activities.  Attendance at this meeting is compulsory for those students that are receiving this Sacrament. If you and your child are unable to attend, you will need to make an appointment with Fr Ian to go through the program.  If your child is not receiving the Sacrament, you and your child are more than welcome to join us.  Please let me know if you will be attending for catering and logistical purposes. Term 3 week 2

Good evening and welcome to week 2.  Hopefully you enjoyed the glorious weather over the weekend! As you may be aware, Mr Lee is unwell and recuperating at home at the moment. Please keep him in your thoughts as he recovers.  We look forward to seeing him back at school very soon. We made get well soon cards for him Friday, which were delivered over the weekend. From all accounts he was VERY appreciative! This week we are continuing with our poetry unit, where we are learning how to write limericks. Fun to be had there I am sure! In maths we are working on the different ways we can show and use multiplication.
