Week 1 version 2!!

Well, it was finally great to start the year after the little pause we had last week.  The children have settled in very well and were straight into the swing of things.

This week we will be getting to know each other and our classroom expectations as we work through place value in maths and begin narrative writing in literacy.  In science this term we are exploring Earth Science and have linked both Design and Technology and Art into this topic.

Just a few points of note this week; 

Uniform

Term one is our Summer uniform: 
Girls - Summer dress with brown sandals or black school shoes with white socks.
Boys - White shirt, grey shorts with brown sandals or black school shoes with grey socks. Please see school website for more information. 

We will need to wear our sport uniform this semester on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Homework

We have taken a staged approach to homework this week.  Students have brought home their homework books with an 'about me' activity glued in.  There will be no mental maths or spelling set this week, although I ask that you child select a book from home to read each night.  Homework is due Friday to provide opportunity to complete this around the busy home schedule.  So please support your child to remember their homework on Friday, or earlier if they wish.

OLC Opening Mass

On Friday, we will be walking to the church for our opening school mass.

 Hello 3Mc parents and welcome to week 5! I can’t believe we are nearly half way through the term! I hope that you all had a great weekend.  Stop Motion In art this term we are learning about and creating stop motion movies.  Students have created story boards outlining what they intend filming and as such know what characters they will need.  Please support your child to remember the characters they will need to commence filming this Wednesday. Week 3

Good afternoon parents and welcome to  Week 3 !  Our Reconciliation celebration is on Wednesday night beginning at 6pm at Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church. Please see below for some important information. RECONCILIATION REMINDERS - WEDNESDAY 24TH OCTOBER 6PM  Arrival Time & Dress  - Please be at the Church by 5.45pm.  Your child is to be dressed in smart casual clothing. Upon arrival they will show you to your seat. Please be mindful that some of the pews are quite small so it will be for immediate family only (parents/siblings). There will be room in the choir loft for additional family members. Prayer Buddies  - All prayer buddies are expected to attend...please let me know via email if you are unable to attend. Week 9

Good afternoon parents, I cannot believe that we are in the last week of Year Three for 2018... the whole year has  gone very fast and we have watched your children grow into beautiful, mature, capable and motivated students! Ihave loved working with them and have been an absolute pleasure to teach! REMINDERS - WEEK 9 Vinny's Donations -  Our tub is located in the wet area. If you can please make any small donation of toiletry items it will go a long way to helping make someone's Christmas very special. These hampers will be put together and handed over at assembly on Friday morning. Books To Go Home -  We ask the each child bring a green bag or plastic bag to school this week so they can take home their books from the year.  Christmas Concert -  On Wednesday at 5.30pm, the entire school will be getting together to celebrate the Year 6 Graduation, the Christmas concert performed by the Year 5's and each year group will be presenting the 2018 Making Jesus Real CAR
