Week 9

Good afternoon and welcome to week 9. Last week I send home a note about the Christmas Shoe box. Here are some examples of what you may like to include. Homework Spelling Homework Please support your child to practice their spelling concept and any personal words they may have this week.  You may even like to give them a break and test them either orally or on scrap paper. Maths Homework It is expected that Unit 29 be completed this week for homework.   I appreciate your time to mark your child's work as they complete it so that they can receive immediate feedback.  Please feel free to asterisk concepts that your child finds difficult so that I can acknowledge and cater for this for future planning and teaching. Readers Please support your child to practice their reading everyday, aloud if possible.  If your child says they do not have a reader, reading books from home is perfectly acceptable, even encouraged. Week 7

Good afternoon and welcome to week 7. The research assignment I send home last week is due tomorrow, so please support your child to remember them for tomorrow. We will be commencing our Information reports tomorrow, so the research is vitally important. Well done to those students who have either already brought their research in, or completed it during lunch today. This Friday is our assembly which we have been practicing. Here are some further details for you.  The children have either been given a part and will dress to match their character  OR are asked to come dressed as their Dad, either his occupation or his hobby. If they would prefer to just come casually then we ask them to wear jeans, t-shirt/ jumper and joggers please. The children will need to bring their sports uniform to get changed into after the assembly.
