Week 9

Good afternoon and welcome to week 9.

Last week I send home a note about the Christmas Shoe box. Here are some examples of what you may like to include.




Homework

Spelling Homework
Please support your child to practice their spelling concept and any personal words they may have this week.  You may even like to give them a break and test them either orally or on scrap paper.

Maths Homework
It is expected that Unit 29 be completed this week for homework.   I appreciate your time to mark your child's work as they complete it so that they can receive immediate feedback.  Please feel free to asterisk concepts that your child finds difficult so that I can acknowledge and cater for this for future planning and teaching.

Readers
Please support your child to practice their reading everyday, aloud if possible.  If your child says they do not have a reader, reading books from home is perfectly acceptable, even encouraged.

Reminders


Please note that the Athletics Carnival that was to be held on Thursday 19th September, will now be held Tuesday in week 10 (24th September).

Good afternoon parents, I cannot believe that we are in the last week of Year Three for 2018... the whole year has  gone very fast and we have watched your children grow into beautiful, mature, capable and motivated students! Ihave loved working with them and have been an absolute pleasure to teach! REMINDERS - WEEK 9 Vinny's Donations -  Our tub is located in the wet area. If you can please make any small donation of toiletry items it will go a long way to helping make someone's Christmas very special. These hampers will be put together and handed over at assembly on Friday morning. Books To Go Home -  We ask the each child bring a green bag or plastic bag to school this week so they can take home their books from the year.  Christmas Concert -  On Wednesday at 5.30pm, the entire school will be getting together to celebrate the Year 6 Graduation, the Christmas concert performed by the Year 5's and each year group will be presenting the 2018 Making Jesus Real CAR

Week 3

Good afternoon parents and welcome to  Week 3 !  Our Reconciliation celebration is on Wednesday night beginning at 6pm at Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church. Please see below for some important information. RECONCILIATION REMINDERS - WEDNESDAY 24TH OCTOBER 6PM  Arrival Time & Dress  - Please be at the Church by 5.45pm.  Your child is to be dressed in smart casual clothing. Upon arrival they will show you to your seat. Please be mindful that some of the pews are quite small so it will be for immediate family only (parents/siblings). There will be room in the choir loft for additional family members. Prayer Buddies  - All prayer buddies are expected to attend...please let me know via email if you are unable to attend. Rehearsals  - We will be walking down to the Church on Tuesday afternoon from 1.30 - 2.45pm and then again on Wednesday 11.30- 1.30pm - please make sure your child brings a packed lunch for Wednesday as we will eat down at the church. Week 5

 Hello 3Mc parents and welcome to week 5! I can’t believe we are nearly half way through the term! I hope that you all had a great weekend.  Stop Motion In art this term we are learning about and creating stop motion movies.  Students have created story boards outlining what they intend filming and as such know what characters they will need.  Please support your child to remember the characters they will need to commence filming this Wednesday. Students may like to bring small figures such as lego to represent the characters of their movies. Pupil Free day: A reminder that there is a pupil free day on Friday 12 November. The staff will be creating our School Improvement Plan for 2022, work on our school Vision for learning, analyse our NAPLAN and PAT test data and school strategic plan.
