Week 8

Good morning and welcome to week 8.
The last few weeks have been very strange and trying, but we will get through.
I have decided to place the spelling words below so that they can be accessed at any time.  Students know their spelling groups.

I have also attached the mental maths homework sheet below and included a video to explain the strategy.


Multiply by tens mental maths

If your child was at school on Friday, I sent home their mathletics and reading eggspress passwords.  If your child was not at school Friday, I will either send these home today or to you via email. Activities that are set on these can be completed on any device as the applications are website based.  Further, if you have made the decision to self isolate, I have sent an email with some of the work we will be completing in class during the week.

Good afternoon parents and welcome to  Week 3 !  Our Reconciliation celebration is on Wednesday night beginning at 6pm at Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church. Please see below for some important information. RECONCILIATION REMINDERS - WEDNESDAY 24TH OCTOBER 6PM  Arrival Time & Dress  - Please be at the Church by 5.45pm.  Your child is to be dressed in smart casual clothing. Week 9

Good afternoon parents, I cannot believe that we are in the last week of Year Three for 2018... the whole year has  gone very fast and we have watched your children grow into beautiful, mature, capable and motivated students! Ihave loved working with them and have been an absolute pleasure to teach! REMINDERS - WEEK 9 Vinny's Donations -  Our tub is located in the wet area. If you can please make any small donation of toiletry items it will go a long way to helping make someone's Christmas very special. These hampers will be put together and handed over at assembly on Friday morning. Books To Go Home -  We ask the each child bring a green bag or plastic bag to school this week so they can take home their books from the year.  Christmas Concert -  On Wednesday at 5.30pm, the entire school will be getting together to celebrate the Year 6 Graduation, the Christmas concert performed by the Year 5's and each year group will be presenting the 2018 Making Jesus Real CAR

Good afternoon parents,  Welcome to week 10  This week we will continue Holy Week celebrations.  Holy Week is a very important time in the Catholic faith as we remember and celebrate the events leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection. In literacy, we have moved from persuasive writing to narrative.  In maths, we are learning about 2d and 3d shapes. Today we have made our sundial watches, and as the pictures below show, our watches are pretty successful! Reminders Easter Egg Raffle  - Please make sure that you have brought in your donation for the raffle which will be held on Friday. Your child has been given their raffle tickets. If you would like to be in the raffle, please return one half of the tickets with your family name clearly written on each ticket and $5. I will be collecting the raffle tickets for 3Mc as this year we are having major prizes drawn for each year group. All money raised during this time is donated to Project Compassion. Each
