Week 2 Term 4

Not sure about you, but I thought last week flew by!!

This week we have new GWN7/Scitech Weather Wall reporters, so if you are available our results should be displayed at about 5:39 as part of the Weather Segment of the GWN news.

Last week we finished money and tried a new type of activity that involved progressing levels, like a video game.  It was great to see how engaged the kids were in the activity. We also had our first dance lesson.  As the photo shows, great fun was had by all!

While I am on dance, Mrs Haines has requested that we wear sports uniform on Wednesdays also for this term.  This will make dance more comfortable and safer for all.

Homework

A reminder that we are following the routines we have already developed; the homework grid, reading, mental maths and a spelling list with the focus sound that we are learning. If you child does not have or needs to swap their readers, please encourage them to do so.

Library books

Our library day to swap books will continue to be on Thursday.  Please work with your child to remember their library bag on Thursdays as book appreciation and exchange is very important to help us progress our reading.

Ian Lillico

Don't forget about the Ian Lillico Parent Workshop from 7-9pm tonight in the school hall.

Assemblies

We held our first assembly for a long time last Friday afternoon.  Unfortunately with the current Phase 4 Restrictions we are unable to have parents attend. Any Merits and Star Citizens will be photographed and emailed home.

Important dates to remember

Pupil Free Day - Monday 23rd November

End of Year Christmas Concert - Tuesday 8th December (Further details to come)

Colour Run/Last Day of Term 4 - Friday 11th December.

As always, thanks for your ongoing support and if you need any further information, please send me an email.
