Week 8

Welcome to week 8...only 9 days of school left! Can you believe it?

Firstly, a really big thank you to those parents who were able to help out last Thursday, the excursion was a great success as the photos below show.













This week we are finishing our Living Things unit is science, finishing our interactive choose your own adventure books and working on geometry in maths. 

Dress rehearsal

This Wednesday, 2nd December we will have our dress rehearsal for our dance concert.  Please ensure your child brings their costume to school on Wednesday.  we will get changed after lunch before we head to the hall for dance, so please ensure that all uniform and costumes are appropriately labeled. Remember, our costume is;

PLAIN WHITE T-SHIRT. If they have a white T-shirt with patterns, logos etc please turn inside out. Boys- if they only have a button up white shirt (short sleeves) then that is fine to wear.

All students please wear a CAP (any colour). Needs to fit snug on the head as they will be ‘rockin out!’ I will also have bobby pins to pin if needed.

Please wear LONG BLACK PANTS- leggings or tracksuit pants (need to be stretchy to dance in).

Please wear any coloured sneakers/runners. 


Homework

This week we have removed mental maths from the homework, but reading and spelling based on the focus sound that we are learning will continue. If you child has a reader, please encourage return it ASAP.

Library books

If your child has any library books at home, please encourage them to return these ASAP so they can be put back through the library system prior to the end of year.  We will continue to go to the library for book appreciation, but will not be borrowing.

Important dates to remember

End of Year Christmas Concert - Tuesday 8th December (Further details to come)

Colour Run/Last Day of Term 4 - Friday 11th December.

Good afternoon parents and welcome to  Week 3 !  Our Reconciliation celebration is on Wednesday night beginning at 6pm at Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church. Please see below for some important information. Week 9

Good afternoon parents, I cannot believe that we are in the last week of Year Three for 2018... the whole year has  gone very fast and we have watched your children grow into beautiful, mature, capable and motivated students! Ihave loved working with them and have been an absolute pleasure to teach! REMINDERS - WEEK 9 Vinny's Donations -  Our tub is located in the wet area. If you can please make any small donation of toiletry items it will go a long way to helping make someone's Christmas very special. These hampers will be put together and handed over at assembly on Friday morning. Books To Go Home -  We ask the each child bring a green bag or plastic bag to school this week so they can take home their books from the year.  Christmas Concert -  On Wednesday at 5.30pm, the entire school will be getting together to celebrate the Year 6 Graduation, the Christmas concert performed by the Year 5's and each year group will be presenting the 2018 Making Jesus Real CAR

Week 10

Good afternoon parents,  Welcome to week 10  This week we will continue Holy Week celebrations.  Holy Week is a very important time in the Catholic faith as we remember and celebrate the events leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection. In literacy, we have moved from persuasive writing to narrative.  In maths, we are learning about 2d and 3d shapes. Today we have made our sundial watches, and as the pictures below show, our watches are pretty successful! Reminders Easter Egg Raffle  - Please make sure that you have brought in your donation for the raffle which will be held on Friday. Your child has been given their raffle tickets. If you would like to be in the raffle, please return one half of the tickets with your family name clearly written on each ticket and $5. I will be collecting the raffle tickets for 3Mc as this year we are having major prizes drawn for each year group. All money raised during this time is donated to Project Compassion. Each
